New Site, New Logo, Norse Branded

Why the new logo? Sure we have only been around for a few months and were originally based on Facebook, so what?
Here is the answer to that question. The point is we never intended to start this website. We never planned to get the kind of support and dedication we have received from all of you since we launched the Facebook group. We never figured Facebook would be blocking some of the Norse related posts we were making or even smacking admins and mods of the group with a Banhammer. But all of that is true!
So we decided that something had to change and we just weren’t sure quite yet as to what…
Then a few days had gone by and Richard had been discussing for lack of better word bitching about the issues to his brother. It was then that he smacked him in the face with a reality check, and said to Richard “If you want to play in Facebook’s yard you have to play by Facebook’s rules.” Suddenly a lightning bolt struck Richard, build your own yard, he thought!
And then the game was on! He began scrambling to get a domain and hosting which he scored from his brother’s company WP Top Hat. Its a premier web hosting company and have some of the best hosting services and plans the can be found, Plus it is his brother’s company, so win, win he thought.
Richard started trying to learn everything he could about how to even build a website. Let me just say, building a website is not for the faint of heart. There is a lot more that goes into it than one might think. To this point in time, the entirety of the admin team has already put more than 1,000 hours into the development of this website and we haven’t even begun to promote it or publicly announce it. And let us not forget the sums of money that have been dropped into the bucket. However, we are getting really close to doing so.
So, if you know Richard he is A – a man of his word; B – If he says he is going to do something or say anything he gives it everything! For Richard, the word “quit” doesn’t exist. Now the one thing many of us have seen time and time again on various social networks and in Norse groups, is they all seem to be focused on bashing this religion or that one. They lacked a sense of community, a sense of passion for the gods, the people, and each other. And that is why Richard had started the Facebook group in the first place. But then to be constantly battered by Facebook for it, well that was not okay either.
All that in mind we knew we wanted to provide a social environment that allows like-minded people to connect, learn, grow, build friendships, the only question was how can we make that happen. Well, it starts here, With this blog, website, and community then keep moving forward. But to do so we needed to show that we were serious and that the rest of my team and I are truly committed to the gods and to helping fellow Norseman and women come closer to the gods, and each other. So we needed to lead by example and we (The Admin Team) all knew it.
It was then that we decided the website had to have a serious look of commitment and dedication and thus we have the site before you today. But we still needed one more thing that truly shows who we are and what our mission is with this site and the community. A logo. A logo to represent our goals, aspirations, commitment, and love for the gods and our fellow brothers and sisters. So we found a company that produces a large number of graphics and has been around for years, and this was the end result. (see the image above) Impressed? We were and still are.
So if you look closely at the image itself, you’ll notice the entirety of it is surrounded by Celtic knotting. The reason we did this is its a circle and it represents a whole, a community. Each one of the triangles has a different Rune on them. On the top from left to right, you have the ᛋ – representing wholeness, ᛒ – to represent Growth and ᚢ – to show strength.
We may not know you by name, face, or in any other way directly but the reality of it is this we love you all the same, and this site was built and is for you, our audience. We will continue to do all we can to give you (this community) everything we have if that means we are bringing you closer to the gods and one another. We hope you enjoy this website and we will always listen to your ideas, suggestions, and yes even as much as we may not want to hear your criticism or complaints we will accept them all with open arms to help us as a community and a team of admins and mods better.
Thank you all for being here and welcome home!
