Midgard Times Season I Issue I : May 2020

Welcome, and thank you for having subscribed to the Midgard Times Newsletter. This is our first issue of the Midgard Times and the 1 month anniversary of the Old Norse Paganism website. Here we will share this news and information with you each month.

There were a lot of big things that took place for us in our first month on the website and in general. So let us get started, shall we?

Site Membership

During the month of April 2020, our membership to the site increased from 1 to a total membership of 142.
The website averaged 63 unique visitors per day as well as returning visitors of 21 visits per day. We have blocked all team member IP addresses so as to give us the most accurate statistics for the website.

Newsletter Subscriptions

Our subscriptions for our Newsletter went from 1 to 161 subscriptions.

Market Sales

In the first 30 days, the Market generated a total gross sales of $102.38. Of that gross sales, we had a profit of $24.51.

Facebook Ban

As many of you are aware Richard our founder has been banned from Facebook for using Runes to spell out his name. As a result, he was forced to archive the Facebook group. We had huge things happen within the group during the month of April. Our Facebook group membership went from 300+ to nearly 700 as of when the ban by Facebook took place.
What does this mean for you, who are members of the website as well?
Outside of having to come directly to the website nothing has really changed. The Old Norse Paganism website offers nearly all of the features found within a Facebook Group. The only real difference is where you go to read the great content we provide as well as how you submit your posts. You will see all of our content on the Old Norse Paganism Blog (Our Timeline) and to Submit a post click HERE.

Changes In Management

Due to the current pandemic of Covid-19 some of our members have had to take leave of absence or leave the team entirely. It’s unfortunate, but we understand and respect the decision the team members have made. Besides, Richards policy is Family before Old Norse Paganism and he stands by that 100%.

Team Openings

We are looking for several positions to be filled currently as a volunteer position but it is Erik and Richards hope that we will be able to make them paid roles and positions in the near future.
Right now some of the biggest needs we have include Columnists, a Graphics artist, and fundraising coordinator. For a complete list of the volunteer positions, we are looking to fill you can visit our Volunteer page.

In The Works

We are currently working with a couple of member Blacksmiths to develop a ceremonial knife just for you guys in the Market and hope to have it available in the Market later this month.
