Hello, my Norse brothers and sisters my name is Tonya Bishop. I’m a 23-year-old woman, and I want to discuss the “Ancestors Prayer”.
I really wanted to share this because I recently transitioned to be Norse myself. I had recently been going through a period of questioning my faith and I felt this was an appropriate prayer to discuss for the first post of my column.
I know like me many of you are new to being and practicing Norse and I feel like this prayer is a really good place to start. The reason I choose this one specifically was that I have always felt drawn to the earth and everything it has to offer. Being a part of it to me is a massive bonus, I love being around nature and everything it has to offer.
With that, you may expect many things from my columns such as a poem, prayers, lullabies, and fables.
Now on to our discussion I personally really liked this prayer for the simple fact that I have always been connected to and with the earth. I loved the referencing done here. I found it to be very comforting and beautiful. I felt so close to our ancestors while reading this on Pinterest.
I really hope you all enjoy it as much as I do and my the gods always send you many blessings and triumphs!
