Hello, everyone. Recently you may have noticed that Old Norse Paganism had dropped the ball as a whole. And it’s for that reason that this post is being written. It is only fair that you be given not only an explanation but a formal written apology expressing my deepest regrets as the primary founder of Old Norse Paganism.
You should know that in no way does this post excuse the actions or lack of commitment to Old Norse Paganism or you and our members and followers and that I am not trying to make excuses with this post. This post is simply to give you a translucent insight into personal events that have taken place in my life recently that unfortunately have had a direct impact on ONP and all of you.
Been A Rough Year
In December of 2019, I was laid off from my job, and due to COVID-19 I have played hell trying to find additional work. To this day I have yet to find work. I have applied for more than 500 jobs in the last 7 months.
Due to the lack of employment, you can only imagine the financial battles that have ensued. Thus adding to the number of stresses on the table for me. My vehicle has been repossessed, I’ve lost my home, and the list just goes on.
Additionally as a result of all the chaos in the world between the BLM and the hatred towards civil servants, the COVID-19 pandemic several original members and even the co-founder Erik Dulany has been affected by the point that it been really hard to continue putting the focus on Old Norse Paganism. And the one thing I have always stressed to all Old Norse Paganism Volunteers and team members is “Do not put Old Norse Paganism before yourself and your families ever!”. So some members have had to step away for a bit. Please be understanding and patient with them.
The straw that broke the camels back for me was a few weeks ago I lost a dear friend of mine which Id served with for a number of years in the US Army. He passed in the line of duty overseas. It hit me hard and I think it hit me harder than normal with all of the political bull that’s going on right now with the burning and disrespect of the US Flag and civil servant employees.
As a result of all of this crap that I have been dealing with, I reached my breaking point and fell into depression. Yes even with the amazing support of friends and family, like Erik Dulany and his family and my wife Tonya.
All of this is not an excuse and it does not change the overall mission and goals of Old Norse Paganism. The reality is yes I as the primary founder of Old Norse Paganism dropped the ball. And it is I alone that am responsible for the lack of communication and my pridefulness and lack of trust in you to let you know what was going on in my world, in fear that you would use it against me and believe me to be unprofessional. It is my deepest regret that I failed you and I can promise that I will not fail you again. I will keep you all in the loop and will remain translucent and you will be treated with respect and as family.
